Chronotraptions
A Research through design study of the subjective perception of time I developed two prototypes: Prana and TeleTikTak.
Prana was placed in a gas station next to the campus of the University of Southern Denmark in Kolding for 4 weeks.
TeleTikTak was placed in the Kolding Tourist office for 3 weeks
Both prototypes were purposefully designed in order to gather responses that would provide insights into how passerby perceived time. Next to each of the Chronotraptions a notebook was placed with inviting witnesses to answer the question "How would you name this object?"
In my thesis, I analyzed the responses gathered from the notebooks and interviews with employees and visitors and reflected on the design choices made.
